Why NRG

The Clean Alternative

NRG doesn't just reduce the problems
of diesel power — it eliminates them.
Silent, stable, emission-free energy
delivered by a team that understands
events at a professional level.

Silent

No generator noise. No fumes. No vibration. Typical diesel generators produce 75–100 dB continuously — throughout speeches, ceremonies, and quiet moments. NRG produces zero. Your event sounds exactly as it should.

Sustainable

Zero onsite emissions during operation. Recharged via New Zealand's South Island grid — which runs at 95–98% renewable. Every litre of diesel burns 2.68 kg of CO₂. NRG burns nothing. We're transparent about the full lifecycle — and the difference is still significant.

Built for Events

Built in Central Otago by industrial electricians and event technicians who understand what events actually demand — audio peaks, catering loads, lighting rigs switching on simultaneously. Three-phase output. Transient load handling. Remote monitoring. Roadcase format.

Three-Phase Output

Handles audio peaks, catering loads, and multi-zone setups simultaneously.

Transient Load Support

Engineered for the sudden surges that trip lesser systems — subwoofers, ovens, rigs.

Remote Monitoring

Our team tracks your event in real time — before it starts and throughout.

FULL SERVICE DELIVERY

Load analysis, show advancing, site setup, and on-call support as standard.

Sustainability

Yes, batteries have an upfront footprint.

Diesel generates emissions every minute it runs.

We don't claim perfection. Lithium batteries require mining and manufacturing — no technology is impact-free, and we won't pretend otherwise.

What we do deliver is a system that is measurably, honestly cleaner than diesel over its operational lifetime. A battery doesn't idle. It doesn't burn fuel while guests are eating, or between performances. Once built, it produces zero onsite emissions — event after event after event.

New Zealand's South Island grid runs at 95–98% renewable on most days. Every NRG recharge draws from hydro, wind, and geothermal. Not diesel. Not coal.

No Greenwashing

We acknowledge battery lifecycle impacts honestly. Our sustainability claims are backed by published data from EECA, MBIE, and Transpower — not marketing language.

Zero Onsite Emissions

During operation NRG produces no CO₂, no NOx, no particulates. Diesel generates 2.68 kg of CO₂ per litre burned — continuously, even when power demand is low.

Powered by NZ's Grid

The South Island grid is 95–98% renewable. Each NRG recharge is overwhelmingly clean electricity. Each diesel refuel is fossil fuel, full stop.

Lifecycle Advantage

Across repeated deployments, the total environmental impact of NRG is significantly lower than diesel. The longer you use it, the greater the difference.

Supports Your Reporting

NRG helps events meet sustainability criteria for council funding, ESG reporting, event funder frameworks, and Queenstown's Destination Management Plan.

Diesel vs NRG

Diesel generators have been the default for event power for decades. Not because they’re the best option — because until now, there wasn’t a purpose-built alternative

Diesel

Constant fuel burn — even between acts and speeches

75–100 dB engine noise throughout your event

Diesel fumes near guests, catering, and performers

2.68kg CO₂ per litre
running continuously

Fuel logistics, storage, and refuelling on site

Can't reach gondola, remote, or elevated venues

WHO Group 1 carcinogen exhaust around guests

NRG

Power on demand — zero
idle waste

0 dB. Completely silent
during operation

No fumes, no smell, no fuel
on site

Zero onsite emissions — charged from
NZ's renewable grid

Fixed, predictable pricing — no fuel
